Her Topic

Beyond Boundaries: Moving Forward with Humility and Confidence
Jesus said that He came to offer us an abundant life (John 10:10b).  Eugene Peterson writes these words like this: “I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.”  Are you interested?  Join us for an exciting weekend taking us “beyond the boundaries” of mere existence.  As leaders, as well as in your own personal lives, you will discover the things that hold you back, that get in the way, that whisper those discouraging words deep into your soul, so that you can soar beyond boundaries to delight in the life that God has designed just for you.

Breakout Session Topics and Facilitators

You will have the opportunity to choose two workshops, one from session 1 and one from session 2.

Session 1:

Building a Team that Will Last

Burnout in ministry is a real thing. Creating, building, and sustaining a dynamic team requires prayer, purpose, process, and persistence. The environment for growth and health must first be established in an atmosphere of trust, grace, and redemption. Learn how to work through the process to a strategy based on Scripture (This class qualifies for Leadership Training Workshop #209).

Judi Adamyk has been volunteering as a women’s ministry leader in her church for almost 15 years and has designed a dynamic ministry to women at two New England churches. She is currently the Business Manager for a home healthcare agency in Concord, MA. Judi and her husband experienced their first season as true empty-nesters when their youngest daughter moved to Germany for a year and their older daughter continues graduate studies in Boulder, CO.

True Confessions of a Superwoman Dropout: Debunking the Myth of Having it All

Enough, already! It’s time to drop out! Most women would admit to feeling pressure to do everything and be all things to all people. From parenting and marriage to health, beauty, and career, the myth of the superwoman is so pervasive in today’s culture that many women feel like failures for not being able to maintain that standard. Sometimes we get so worn by the worries and stresses of our “superwoman” lives that we miss out on the joyful, abundant life that God wants for us. But take heart, because we don’t have to feel the pressure to be superwomen anymore! Come and learn about becoming a “Superwoman Dropout,” fulfilled and satisfied and secure, knowing that our work and play are ordained, validated, and approved by Him!

Besides being a valued staff member of by design ministries, Kristi Stoughton is also a speaker for women’s conferences, retreats, and other events. She believes that life is not for the faint of heart – it’s a wild adventure! Whether we’re resting in God’s arms or hanging on by our fingernails, Kristi shows how solid, Biblical truths apply to every facet of our lives and how God desires to be a part of everything we do. She shares with honesty, humor, and practicality about life’s joys, doldrums, and sorrows, and about how to live victoriously by holding on to God.
