Life-Giving Relationships for Women: A Brain to Pick, a Shoulder to Cry On, and a Kick in the Pants
Come join us as Sharon Carlson leads us in a day-long workshop bringing women of all ages together to consider how organic mentoring can help foster life-giving relationships in our church and broader communities. Women will develop an understanding of how mentoring relationships develop, what they entail, and how they are uniquely able to share their lives with other women in real and practical ways. The workshop will be a combination of content presentation, personal reflection, creative activities, discussion, and opportunities for women to connect and get to know each other better. A time to worship our God together, a little teaching, a little reflection, a little creativity, a little fellowship, and a LOT of fun!
Music by The Chick Band from Nashua, NH (www.chickbandnh.com)
Our workshop will be led by Sharon Carlson, a long-time member of FCCH. Sharon has been passionate about mentoring in her work with students and adults for almost 30 years. She loves to demystify the concept of mentoring and make it real and practical. Sharon currently is the owner of Carlson Education Consulting, a college advising and educational coaching business, and has worked in education and student development for 25 years. She is a member of the FCCH Women’s Ministry Leadership Team, and a current member of the Elder Board. Sharon and her husband, Chris, live in Hamilton and have two children, Christopher (a recent college graduate) and Emma (a junior at Gordon College).
