Experiencing God Day by Day (Qualifies for LT Class 101: Holy Habits)

Neither holiness nor intimacy is gained by practicing spiritual disciplines, but these habits create opportunities for God to work within and through you. Keeping your vision, passion and endurance for ministry is impacted by the depth of your life in Him. Students will: assess their life and discover personal challenges to growth; gain tools to develop spiritual disciplines; be challenged to live a life marked by devotion to Christ. This class qualifies for our Leadership Training Class #101.

When: Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Lunch is included.
Where: The Congregational Church of Salem, Connecticut

Susan Moody loves to use humor to help others learn God’s truth, and has done so at retreats, conferences, seminars and chapel services. Susan has a B.A. in Youth Ministry from Gordon College; a MA in Higher Education from Geneva College; and a M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. She is currently the Transitional Pastor at The Congregational Church in Chester, Vermont. Susan also serves on our by design ministries board.

Bible Study Leadership Tune-Up

Rooting women in the Word of God is an awesome responsibility, privilege and joy! How do I guide a Bible discussion, inspiring women to glean their own insights as well as learn from group members? How should I view myself as a leader, a shepherd, a Bible teacher? What biblical, relational, prayer and leadership skills do I need to guide others effectively in a study of God’s Word? How do I identify good questions and adjust published materials to create powerful group dynamics for a highly effective learning environment?

When: Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 9:00 to 12:00 p.m.
Where: Eliot Baptist Church, Eliot, Maine
Who: Whether you are an aspiring new Bible leader or a long time veteran, come join us for this practical, Spirit-filled tune-up in Bible study leadership!

As Director of the Women’s Center for Ministry at Western Seminary, Phyllis loves shepherding women of all ages and life stages to their full potential for Christ. An inspiring communicator, Phyllis specialized in training women to exposit God’s Word and to write life-transforming Bible study curricula. Phyllis also serves on our by design ministriesboard.
